As you pass along the Southern province to reach the central part of the Western province, you will enjoy the revitalising views and landscapes of the Country of a Thousand Hills. Enjoy waterside lunch before heading back to Kigali via the Northern province’s Musanze town.

Itinerary

06h00: Pick-up and leave Kigali by a Countryside Tours guide to drive 4 hours approx. We also start this tour any other timings before 08h30. This imply change in the subsequent timings.

Estimated 10h00-13h00: Reaching Kibuye, a boat will take you for a water trip to Napoleon island, Monkey and Peace islands in Kivu lake. While in the waters of Kivu lake, you will disembark the boat at Napoleon island and have a hike of the island to appreciate its beautiful views during the hike and at the summit.

Estimated 13h00: Back from the boat trip, enjoy a waterside lunch before heading back to Kigali.

Head back to Kigali via Kibuye-Gisenyi road

Along the way in Musanze: Stop-over at Migano Cafe for leg stretching, using the washrooms before proceeding to Kigali.

Arrival in Kigali city late in the evening.
